Join us for an unforgettable week-long adventure in the heart of the Pyrenees – Andorra! This tiny microstate, located between Spain and France, is a true paradise for hikers. The entire country is in the mountains, so during our trip we will spend most of our time trekking along the scenic Pyrenean trails. We will visit the UNESCO-protected Madriu Valley, climb the highest peak in the country – Coma Pedrosa (2944 m) – and those who wish will have a chance to try the Andorra’s via ferrata. Beyond the mountain hikes, the trip will also include some cultural experiences – on the way, we will stop at the famous Montserrat Monastery in Spain, and in Andorra, we will explore local villages. This journey is the perfect opportunity to escape everyday life for a week and get some new inspiration for life from the breathtaking Pyrenean landscapes.

Day 1:

Ryanair flight Vilnius – Barcelona.

Upon arrival, our tour guide will meet us, and on the way to Andorra we will stop to visit the famous Montserrat Monastery.

After the monastery visit, we will continue to our accommodation and go over the plan for the week.

Day 2:

The second day of our trip will be dedicated to an impressive 17 km hike with approximately 1200 m of elevation gain. This is one of the most beautiful routes in Andorra, offering a true experience of the Pyrenean mountain spirit. The Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site, will be our main destination. We will follow the trails surrounded by dense forests, green meadows, and steep rocky sections. As we climb higher, we will be rewarded with panoramic views of the Mainana Mountains. Along the way, we will have the opportunity to make a small stop at a mountain lake, where the icy, clear water will provide a refreshing break after the more intense parts of the hike.

Day 3:

We will have an easier day with a 5 km hike to Lake Juclar. The route is scenic, featuring rocky paths, waterfalls, and forests, with only 450 m of elevation gain. Upon reaching the lake, we will be rewarded with views of one of Andorra’s most beautiful mountain lakes – clear blue water surrounded by the sharp peaks of the Pyrenees. Here, we can enjoy snacks, relax by the water, and if we still have energy, hike a little higher to enjoy the views from another perspective.

Day 4:

On the fourth day of our trip, we will climb Andorra’s highest peak – Coma Pedrosa. The hike will take about 7 hours, covering a total distance of 13.7 km with an elevation gain of 1385 m. This will be the most challenging adventure of the trip.

Day 5:

In the morning, we will try something different, the Andorra’s via ferrata. This is a specially equipped mountain route with metal ladders, cables, and steps, allowing us to safely overcome steeper rocky sections. No climbing experience is required, but the activity provides plenty of adrenaline and unique sensations. With professional equipment and the guidance of our tour leader, we will complete the route while enjoying breathtaking views of the valleys and mountains. The entire experience will last approximately 4 hours.

After the morning adventure, we will visit Andorra la Vella, the capital of Andorra, where we can explore the town, stroll through the streets, and enjoy the local atmosphere.

Day 6:

On Wednesday, we will set out on a scenic 12 km hike with about 700 m of elevation gain. The trail will take us through mountain paths, meadows, forests, and rocky sections, until we reach two of the most beautiful Pyrenean lakes – Estany de l’Isla and Estany de Cabana Sorda. At the lakes, we will have lunch, rest, and if desired, hike a little higher to admire the views from another perspective.

Day 7:

On Thursday, we will hike near the France-Andorra border. Our goal is to reach the Font Blanca peak. From there, we will be rewarded with stunning views of up to five mountain lakes. On the way back, we will stop at Estany Esbalçat, where we can swim and have lunch. The total hike will cover 15 km with 1400 m of elevation gain.
