Day 1:

Pick-up from Vienna airport and 3 hours drive to the sleeping location.

In the evening we will discuss the plan for the trip and get some rest.

Day 2:

In the first part of the day, we will visit the Krimml Waterfalls, the highest waterfalls in Austria. We will take a light walk and then continue to the Schwarzachtal Valley. There, we will go on an easy 4 km hike to a mountain hut, where we will have lunch.

After the hike, we will be able to try out local activities such as summer tobogganing and sports games, and in the evening, we will enjoy a quiz night on the theme of Austria.

Day 3:

We will go on an 18 km circular hike, during which we will reach the summit of Ramsjoch (2,500 m above sea level). Along the way, we will enjoy crystal-clear mountain lakes, waterfalls, and encounter many local mountain residents – cows. If needed, the hike can be shortened by taking a cable car either up or down, avoiding a considerable part of the ascent or descent.

In the evening, we will be able to relax in the local pools.

Day 4:

During this day, we will have the chance to try the Mayrhofen via ferratas. There are routes of different difficulty levels, so even those who have never done a via ferrata before will be able to try it out. Our trip leader will ensure your safety and introduce you to the equipment.

If you don’t want to try via ferrata, we can take you to a cable car up to the Hintertux Glacier instead. The program for this day will be adapted individually according to the group’s preferences.

Day 5:

We will spend the day hiking on the shore of the Schlegeis reservoir. It is one of the most picturesque places in Austria in which you can find a hanging bridge at 2,400 meters above sea level with stunning views over the reservoir. We will make stops in the huts of Friesenberghaus and Olpererhutte.

After the hike, if there will be an interest, we will have the opportunity to try one of the very few via ferratas in the world that is located not on a rock face, but on a dam wall. The ferrata includes 131 meters of elevation gain and a route of about 200 meters.

Day 6:

During this day, we will go on a 16 km hike to the Berliner Hütte (8 km each way). It is a historic mountain hut with beautiful views of the mountains and glaciers. From the hut, if we still have some energy, there will be an option to extend the hike further.

Day 7:

On the last day, we will go on an easy 8 km hike through a river gorge. This will be a new experience. The hike will have almost no elevation gain, making it easily manageable for everyone.

In the afternoon, we will spend time at Lake Achensee in the mountains. We will go swimming, and there will also be an option to rent boats and enjoy some time out on the lake. If the group group is interested, we can also do an additional hike above the lake.

Day 8:

We will leave our accommodation in the morning and we will drive to the city of Vienna. There we will have free time to walk around the city and in the evening we will have our flight back to Vilnius.
