Join us for an active eight-day adventure through the mountains and lakes of Austria’s Salzburg region! During this journey, we’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views from the new peaks, explore mysterious caves and gorges, visit the famous mountain lake Halstat, and finish our trip in the charming old town of Vienna. We will also try new via ferratas rountes and for the recovery part, we will be staying at a very cozy mountain chalet with a sauna and everything you need for a good rest.
Day 1:
Flight Vilnius- Vienna.
Travel from Vienna Airport to our accommodation in Steuer city.
Day 2:
We will drive to the stunning mountain lake Gosausee, surrounded by impressive peaks. There, we’ll climb the famous Donnerkogel via ferrata “Stairway to Heaven”, where incredible mountain views open up along the route from one of the peaks.
After the via ferrata, we’ll relax with a refreshing swim in Gosausee.
Day 3:
We’ll take a radial 16km hike toward the Schafberg summit, passing green valleys, lakes, and ridgelines on the way.
Day 4:
Today we have two activity options – choose whichever suits you best:
Visit Eisriesenwelt, the largest ice cave in the world – stepping inside feels like entering another planet, with massive ice formations all around. After exploring the cave, we’ll walk through the impressive Liechtensteinklamm gorge.
For those who prefer a calmer and more cultural day, you can enjoy a leisurely walk around Salzburg, explore the old town, and soak in the city’s charm.
Day 5:
We’ll hike up to the Persailhorn summit (2,347 m). Part of the route includes via ferrata sections, and along the way we’ll enjoy views of distant snow-covered peaks.
Day 6:
In the morning we will start our day by with the 5 Fingers viewpoint. From there we will have a great view of the lake. After that, we will visit the town of Hallstatt and the surroundings of it. Those who want to take a boat ride on Lake Hallstatt can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, mountains, and colorful houses for the water.
Day 7:
On this day we will have the longest hike in this trip (21km). We will start at Lake Jägersee and walk on rocky trails and mountain meadows toward Tappenkarsee. At the lake shore we can stop at a hut to rest, enjoy the views, and have lunch. The Tappenkarsee loop is one of the most beautiful hikes in the Austrian Alps. Along the way you can reach the peaks of Karteiskopf (2203 m) and Gurenstein (2219 m), which offer wide views of the valleys.
Day 8:
Free time in Vienna – we’ll walk around the old town, see the famous cathedral, and try some local food.
In the evening – flight back to Vilnius.

Additional information:
The flight tickets are with Ryanair (Vilnius–Vienna–Vilnius).
The group size is 8 people + a tour leader.
During the trip the entire group will be staying together in one house.
The program can be flexible and changed according to the weather and group wishes.
We will give you the via ferrata gear and hiking poles if needed, just let us know before the start of the trip.
For more comfort in the trip we suggest to have our private chef that will cook us breakfasts, dinners and will prepare some snacks for lunch.
