We would like to invite you to discover the Faroe Islands – a remote archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean, largely untouched by mass tourism and a true paradise for hiking enthusiasts. Here, green mountains, valleys, lakes, waterfalls, and dramatic cliffs create a breathtaking landscape, while the tranquility and authentic rhythm of island life let you experience what it truly means to be far away from the crowds. During this 7-day journey, we will immerse ourselves in the islands’ nature and culture: hike along trails of varying difficulty but always stunning scenery, visit the most iconic landmarks, taste local cuisine, and get a closer look at everyday island life. The program will be adapted flexibly to the weather and the group’s preferences, ensuring that each day is filled with discoveries and unforgettable experiences.

Day 1:

Flight Vilnius–Copenhagen–Vágar with SAS Airlines.

Upon arrival, we will stop at a grocery store to buy the food and take a light hike around our accommodation to get familiar with the surroundings.

Day 2:

On Saturday, we will go out for a very scenic fairytale-like hike between the villages of Saksun and Tjørnuvík. Along the route, we will climb Mount Melin, which rises 764 meters above sea level. From the summit, we will enjoy great views of the neighboring mountains, the sea, and a lake below. After the hike, we will visit the picturesque Saksun lagoon.

Day 3:

In the first half of the day, we will explore Tórshavn, the largest town of the Faroe Islands.

In the afternoon, we will make a 10 km hike around the town of Vestmanna. Along the way, we will have the chance to jump from waterfalls into a river gorge, discover two different lakes, and enjoy panoramic views of the town from above.

Day 4:

Today we will travel to the northernmost point of the islands and hike to the Hvítahamar viewpoint. From here, we will have a good view of fjords and surrounding mountains. This will be a challenging hike with an ascent of 850 meters up to the peak of Villingardalsfjall.

Day 5:

On Tuesday, we will take a ferry to the nearby island of Kalsoy. This place is famous for the Kallur lighthouse, where visitors can also find James Bond’s grave and take in stunning coastal scenery. After a short hike, we will visit the statue of the Seal Woman in the village of Mikladalur. Later, we return by ferry to Klaksvík, where we will spend some time and climb up for panoramic views over the town.

Day 6:

Wednesday will be a rest day with optional activities: we can go out to sea or take a helicopter ride to nearby islands not connected by tunnels (such as Mykines). Here we will have the chance to see the Atlantic puffins and admire cliffs from the water.

If desired, an additional hike can be arranged.

Day 7:

On this day, we will complete two iconic hikes that perfectly capture the postcard beauty of the Faroe Islands.

First, we will visit the village of Gásadalur, best known for its panoramic views and the waterfall that flows directly into the ocean. Surrounded by mountains, the village offers a rewarding climb up one of the nearby peaks.

In the second half of the day, we will hike to Sørvágsvatn, a unique lake situated directly above the ocean. This creates an extraordinary optical illusion that must be seen. The hike is relatively easy – about 5 km with only a gentle ascent.

Day 8:

Morning flight Vágar–Copenhagen–Vilnius. We will arrive home in the evening.
