Spend the last weekend of spring in the Latvian nature close to the Baltic Sea! During this trip, we’ll enjoy a canoeing adventure along the Irbe River. This scenic river winds through forests, sand dunes, and meadows before finally reaching the Baltic Sea. It’s a perfect opportunity to escape the daily routine and explore one of the most beautiful rivers in Latvia.
Day one:
In the afternoon, we’ll depart from Vilnius and travel towards Latvia.
Upon arrival at the campsite by the Irbe River, we’ll settle into our accommodation. In the evening, we’ll relax in nature, have dinner by the campfire, and prepare for the next day’s paddling adventure.
Day two:
After breakfast, we’ll head to the starting point and begin our canoe trip down the Irbe River. The first day will be easier, that way we will have a chance to get familiar with the river, find your rhythm, and enjoy the tranquility of nature. The riverbanks are mostly forested, and at times beautiful sandy cliffs and dunes open up along the way.
In the evening, after reaching Vīdale, we’ll set up camp, spend time by the fire, and share the day’s impressions. (The overnight spot may vary depending on the paddling pace.)
Day three:
After breakfast, we’ll continue paddling along the Irbe River. The second day of canoeing will be slightly longer – here the river becomes wider and calmer, surrounded by meadows and forests. As we approach Lielirbe, we’ll stop for a break, lunch, and those who wish can take a refreshing swim in the river.
When we reach the Baltic Sea, we’ll take a group photo and share our experiences.
After some rest by the coast, we’ll return to the starting point and head back home..

Transportation from Vilnius
National park and camping fees
