During the days 15-18th of January, we invite you to join an active and non-touristic trip to the Slovak Tatras. During this adventure, we will climb two peaks – Široká veža and Slakovsky stit. We will be climbing on the ridges so there will be plenty of time to think about all your life. It is a great opportunity to test your strength in winter conditions. Due to the technical routes and safety requirements, previous mountain hiking experience is recommended. The trip will be led by Tomas Skirka. For those seeking a real challenge – this is your chance to test your limits.
January 15th:
In the morning, we depart toward the Polish/Slovak border and arrive in the evening at our accommodation. Rest and preparation for the hike.
January 16th:
In the morning we depart from the town of Vysoké Tatry. We ascend to the Teryho Hut, and from there, if weather conditions allow, we will climb the Široká veža (2461 m) peak – a wonderful viewpoint from which Gerlach and Lomnický štít can be seen.
After descending from the summit, we continue through the Veľká Studená dolina valley towards the Zbojnícka chata (1960 m) mountain hut, where we’ll stay
overnight.
In the evening – a warm dinner, mountain atmosphere, and rest after a long day in the mountains.
January 17th:
After breakfast at Zbojnícka chata, we will begin our second hiking day.
From the hut, we will climb up to the ridge. From the top, there is a breathtaking panorama of the surroundings. We will spend all the day on the ridge enjoying the technical part until we reach Slavkovský štít. After a break on the summit, we descend back to the civilisation.
