Day 1:

Airbaltic flight Vilnius-Riga-Reykjavik. We will drive to our sleeping location near Selfoss.

Day 2:

We will start the day with a visit to Kerid crater, one of the most visually stunning geological wonders in the country. After that we will keep driving up until we reach the Great Geysir. We will have a chance to see the water eruptions from the ground that can go up to 70 meters. For lunch, we will have a unique experience and we will eat in a greenhouse an all the meals there are made from tomatoes.

For the second part of the day we will visit few waterfalls on the way and we will enjoy the evening in the town of Selfoss.

Day 3:

Today we will travel about 200 km along the southern coast of the island. On the way, we will visit the remarkable Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls. We will also have the opportunity to take photos at the plane wreck, which has become an iconic symbol of Iceland, and see the Solheimajokull glacier up close.

We will end the day at Reynisfjara Beach, famous for its black sand and numerous rock formations in the water. It is one of the most beautiful places in the country.

Day 4:

We will have the longest driving day in the southern part of Iceland, starting with the Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon which will give us a new type of landscape. We will then have a short hike to the Skaftafell waterfall and we will continue our adventure with a magical Jökulsárlón lagoon filled with icebergs that have broken off from the nearby glacier. Nearby we will stop at the Diamond beach full of ice cubes on a black sand beach.

On the way back, we will stop in the small town of Vik.

Day 5:

We will be hiking in Landmannalaugar Rainbow Mountains. This area is a must see in the country and we will spend the day hiking and visiting several natural spots like waterfalls, rivers… The views there are a real Icelanding postal card and it’s a must place to see. We will go there with a 4×4 cars.

Day 6:

On the sixth day of our trip, we will head toward the Reykjanes Peninsula. Our first stop is the Seltún geothermal area, where we will discover colorful fumaroles, steaming mud, and the scent of sulfur. This is a place where we can truly feel the “land of fire and ice” spirit of Iceland.

Next, we will visit Kleifarvatn Lake – one of the largest on in the area, surrounded by black lava fields and hills. Here, we will stop for a short walk and some photos.

Our adventure continues in the Reykjanes volcanic area. If Fagradalsfjall or another volcano is active, we can walk up to the lava fields and see the fresh, hardened lava landscape. Even if the volcano is quiet, the scenery itself is truly impressive.

To end the day, we will relax at one of Iceland’s most famous spots – the Blue Lagoon. Here, we will enjoy a soothing soak in warm geothermal waters surrounded by lava fields – the perfect way to conclude a day full of Icelandic wonders.

Day 7:

On Thursday, we will explore the Snæfellsnes coastline and, weather permitting, we may have the chance to spot whales in the ocean. It will be a more relaxed day, allowing us to adjust the itinerary according to the group’s wishes and preferences. For example, we could take a short hike to the Reykjadalur thermal river.

Day 8:

We will spend our day in the capital town of Reykjavik and we will then have our flight home.
