On July 5-13th join an unforgettable 8-day adventure and climb Turkey’s highest peak, Mount Ararat (5,137 meters), with a fascinating cultural experience of Doğubeyazıt. This journey offers breathtaking landscapes, challenging trekking, and local cultural experiences of Turkey. It’s an ideal trip for people that would like to challenge themselves and conquer new peaks.
Day 1:
Flight Vilnius-Istanbul, rest in the city, free time to explore the city.
Day 2:
Morning flight from Istanbul to Iğdır. We will have a transfer to Doğubeyazıt. We will check in a 4 star hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening in preparation for the adventure ahead. Overnight stay in Doğubeyazıt.
Day 3:
After breakfast, a minibus transfer will take you to Çevirme Village (2,200 m). From there, we begin our trek to the Mount Ararat Base Camp (3,200 m), a 4-5 hour hike through stunning landscapes. We will have a hot lunch and dinner prepared by a local cook. Overnight stay in tents at Base Camp.
Day 4:
Following breakfast, we will go on an acclimatization hike to Camp 2 (4,200 m), trekking for 3-4 hours. After a short rest at Camp 2, we descend back to Base Camp to sleep. Meals (breakfast, lunch, and hot dinner) will be served at Base Camp. Overnight stay in tents at Base Camp.
Day 5:
On Thursday we will hike back up to Camp 2 (4,200 m), taking 3-4 hours. Once at Camp 2, we will settle in, enjoying a warm meal, and preparing for an early summit climb. Overnight stay in tents at Camp 2.
Day 6:
We will begin our ascent to the summit in the early hours (1-2 AM). After a challenging 5-7 hour climb, you’ll stand atop Mount Ararat, marveling at the panoramic views from Turkey’s highest peak. Following the summit, we descend to Camp 2 for a short rest and meal, then continue down to Base Camp (3,200 m). Overnight stay in tents at Base Camp.
Day 7:
After breakfast, we will be descending to Çevirme Village (2,200 m), where a transfer will take us back to Doğubeyazıt. After checking into the hotel and rest, we will explore the local culture on a tour to visit the historic Ishak Pasha Palace and the legendary site of Noah’s Ark. In the evening, participants will receive a Mount Ararat Climbing Certificate. Overnight stay in Doğubeyazıt.
Day 8:
After breakfast, departure to Iğdır airport and with a layover in Istanbul we will reach Lithuania in the evening.

2 nights in a four star hotel, 1 night in Istanbul and tents with sleeping mats on the mountain
All meals on the mountain (breakfast, lunch, and hot dinner), cooking service on the mountain

Local trekking guide and tour leader from Lithuania
Tour in Doğubeyazıt
Horses to carry bags and equipment
Mount Ararat climbing permit and tourism fees in the hotels
Ice crampons for the summit and most of the camping equipment
It will NOT include:
Tickets Vilnius-Istanbul-Igdir with Turskish airlines
Food in town, while not hiking
Tips for guides and staff
Additional information:
The group size for each trip is 10 travelers maximum.
Physical Requirements: Moderate to high fitness level required for trekking at high altitudes.
The program may adjust based on weather conditions to ensure safety and enjoyment.
The flight tickets will be with Turkish Airlines.
You will be guided by a local mountain guide and a travel organizer from Lithuania.
