We invite you to an adventurous and unforgettable boat holiday in Sicily and surrounding islands! This trip will not only give you the chance to experience life on board, but also to actively discover the islands through hiking, relaxing on the beaches and discovering new places every day. Each morning will start with hikes and excursions, followed by a chance to relax and enjoy the sea. You’ll sleep in cozy cabins and wake up in the morning with a sea view.
From sailing to island hopping to sunbathing on deck, there will be a lot of activities!
Day 1:
We will start the trip from Marina di Portorosa and sail to the island of Vulcano. We will visit the Gran Cratere volcano, a 5.1 km hike to the crater that takes about 2 hours. We will see amazing views and, if we wish, we can enjoy the natural sulfur mud pools.
Day 2:
We sail to Cefalù, the pearl of the Sicilian coast. We’ll visit Cefalù’s old town, wander the narrow streets and enjoy the cozy cafés. We’ll hike up La Rocca, about 3 hours (9.5 km) with stunning views of the city and the sea
Day 3:
We will sail to Termini Imerese, known for its Roman baths. We’ll visit them and enjoy the views from Belvedere Square. We will also see ancient ruins and enjoy Sicilian architecture.
Day 4:
We will sail to Palermo, the capital of Sicily. We will visit Palermo Cathedral, the Ballarò Market and the Quattro Canti Square, where we can admire the baroque buildings. We will also visit the Palatine Chapel, one of the most impressive religious sites in the city.
Day 5:
We sail to San Vito Lo Capo, a famous Sicilian resort. We will hike up Monte Monaco, enjoying the magnificent views and natural beauty. In addition, we will be able to walk along the Sentiero delle Orchidee (10.1 km, 519 m ascent).
Day 6:
We’ll sail to Filicudi, a small island in Sicily, where we’ll enjoy wild landscapes and quiet beaches. We’ll visit the Grotta del Bue Marino (sea cave), reached by a wonderful hike (11.6 km, 751 m rise)
Day 7:
The last day of the trip will take us back to Marina di Portorosa, where we will finish our tour of the Sicilian Islands.
It will include:
Boat rent for a week
Sleeping in the cabins of the boat
breakfasts during the sailing
All the port and national park fees
Transfer from and to the hotel
Local captain
Tour leader from Lithuania
It will NOT include:
Plane tickets
The rest of the food
Additional information:
Up to 8 travelers per group.
You will live in cabins of two.
