We invite you to join us for a week’s active holiday in Madeira, the European island of Hawaii. During this trip, you will stay in a 400 square-mozy house. During this adventure, you’ll do a lot of hiking in some of the most beautiful places on the island, get a chance to learn about the local culture, and relax on the black sand beaches. It will be a warm, active, and productive winter holiday.
Day 1:
Flight Vilnius-Funchal
Day 2:
On this day we will have a small hike at Vereda da Ponta de São Lourenço, this hiking trail is located on the Eastern part of the island and offers incredible panoramic views! During the hike you’ll walk along the entire peninsula. We will also discover the East coast on the way and we will stop on different miradouros which are the scenic viewpoints on the island.
Day 3:
We will do a stunning Pico Ruivo hike at night. It is the highest peak in Madeira and the sunrise there it’s just magical. This is the most epic trail on the island and after it we will relax at the town of Funchal where we will have a chance to enjoy the beautiful sunset from the boat.
Day 4:
The Vereda do Larano is one of the most scenic hiking trails in Madeira. This point to point hike will take you from Machico to the coastal town of Porto da Cruz and back. And in the meantime you’ll get to enjoy the most epic views over the coastline of Madeira.
Day 5:
We will be hiking in the 25 Fontes and Risco Waterfall trail. We will make a loop and we will experience a long 2km tunnel hiking part in our 14 km distance hike.
For the second part of the day we will visit a UNESCO heritage forest of Fanal Pond that has a completely different landscape.
Day 6:
Levada do Caldeirão Verde is a moderate difficulty trail with a distance of 13 km and it will be the highlight of Tuesday. We will take approximately 6 hours to complete the trail and the goal will be to reach the stunning Caldeirão Verde, a large and deep valley filled with emerald green vegetation. At the end of the trail we will reach a breathtaking waterfall that cascades into a natural pool.
Day 7:
On this day we will have a picturesque hike at levade 17. During the hike we will experience many sightseeing stops, different tunnels and tons of waterfalls on the way.
After the hike we will rest at Seixal beach which is one of the prettiest beaches in the world.
Day 8:
Rest day at the beach and flight Funchal-London-Vilnius.
