On the days of 04-13 July, join the Romanian Carpathian mountains adventure and be part of challenging hikes, cultural exploration, and breathtaking natural wonders in the heart of Romania. This program will allow you to hike in the most beautiful areas of Romania, discover the capital city of Brasov, and visit the Drakula castle. If you are looking for something new and not crowded, this destination is definitely for you.
Day 1:
We will leave Vilnius and Kaunas in the evening.
Day 2:
We will reach our sleeping location in the surroundings of Brasov in the afternoon and we will be resting after the trip.
Day 3:
We will start the trip with an active day in the Bucegi mountains. Our goal will be to reach the peak of Omu which is the highest peak in the area.
Day 4:
We will have a hiking day at Piatra Craiului National Park. Piatra Mica is an adventurous day hike with hearty vertical, lots of fun scrambling, and breathtaking views. We will have 18.5 km to walk in total.
Day 5:
On this day we will have a more relaxed day and we will visit the Bran castle, which is the Drakula castle and we will do some small hikes around.
We can also visit the town of Brasov the same day and we can relax in a water Park too.
Day 6:
On this day we will travel to Bâlea lake where we will drive the Transfagarasan road which is a pass that crosses the Făgăraș mountains. This road is among the most beautiful mountain roads in the world.
From the lake we will hike to Mircii and Tarata peaks located at 2400 m above the sea level. The more advanced hikers can reach the tallest Romanian mountain Moldoveanu, but that will be a total of 28 km. It will be the most challenging day of the trip.
Day 7:
We will have an easy hiking day not far from our mountain cabin.
Day 8:
We will have the most challenging hike probably in all Romania with 1500m of elevation gain. The point of the hike will be: Plaiul Foii Chalet (849 m) – Șpirlea Refuge (1440 m) – At Chains – Grindului Saddle (2195 m).
Day 9:
We will drive back home early in the morning and we should be in Lithuania by the nignt between Saturday and Sunday.

7 nights of accommodation near Rucar
Tour organizer from Lithuania
All the breakfasts in the sleeping location
One bbq dinner in the house
All the tourism and park fees
It will NOT include:
The rest of the food
Entrances to the castles
Additional information:
The group size for this trip is 16 people.
We will be traveling with two 9 seat vans from Lithuania.
We will be living in a private house in not far from Brasov.
The program is flexible and can be rearranged according to the group wishes.
