We would like to invite you on a winter conditions hike in the Tatra mountains. This trip is suitable for beginners, who would like to experience walking on the snow. You will be guided by a professional, who will make your trip safe and memorable, offering tips on winter hiking techniques, and helping you navigate on snowy and icy trails. Each night will be spent in the same holiday house, no need to bring all your equipment with you, only the basic needs for the daily hikes. We will have a sauna to relax too. If you would like to try a new type of hike, you should join the tour.
Day 1:
Leaving Lithuania in the evening and night drive.
Day 2:
We will arrive at our sleeping location at ~4am, we will get some sleep till 11am and then we will go to the valley of five lakes. The hike is only 14 kms long with 700m of elevation gain. One way we will enjoy Siklawa waterfall and we will have lunch at the mountain hut facing the lakes.
If you will be tired after the trip, there is a possibility to make a hike to Morskie Oko lake instead.
Day 3:
Hiking in Dolina Gąsienicowa which is considered as one of the most beautiful valleys in the Polish Tatras. Enjoying the breathtaking mountain views, we will reach the Carny Staw mountain lake, and from there we will have the possibility to reach the peak of Koscielec (2155m). The total elevation gain will be 1200m. We will make a loop hike that will take us 16.5kms in total.
Day 4:
Our hike will take us to three peaks: Kopa Kondracka (2,005 m), Ciemniak (2,090 m), and Krzesanica (2,122 m), each offering breathtaking panoramas of the Tatra range and surrounding valleys. The walking distance will be ~15kms and the elevation gain will be 1100 meters. The hike is a perfect combination of challenging climbs and rewarding scenery on one of the Tatras’ most scenic ridges.
Day 5:
Drive home early in the morning and come back in Lithuania in the evening.
It will include:
New nine seat van
4 nights at a cozy holiday house
Breakfasts and one diner
Tour leader from Lithuania
National park fees
The rental of crampons, ice-axe, helmets...
We will have a private sauna where we will be able to recover after hiking days
It will NOT include:
The rest of the food (two dinners will cost 100zl or ~14 euros)
Additional information:
The group size for this tour is 9 people
Hiking shoes, adapted for snow, are required
The program can be changed due to the weather conditions
The dinners and breakfasts will be cooked for us in our sleeping area, no need to worry about cooking
We will be living in rooms for two/three travelers
Everyone will have a private bed
The hiking experience is not required for this trip
